Yonge-Eglinton Secondary Plan Consultation Meeting

Following direction from City Council's Planning and Growth Management Committee on June 7, 2018 on the Midtown in Focus planning study, the City is holding a community consultation meeting regarding specific aspects of the City staff recommended Yonge-Eglinton Secondary Plan. Details are as follows:

Yonge-Eglinton Secondary Plan – Consultation Meeting

Date: Thursday, June 21, 2018

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 PM 

Location: The Roehampton Hotel, Eglinton Room, 808 Mount Pleasant Road

This community consultation meeting will be focused specifically on obtaining feedback from the public on:

  • Lowering permitted building heights for new buildings in the area generally bounded by Broadway Avenue to the north, Soudan Avenue to the south, Duplex Avenue to the west and Mount Pleasant Road to the east; and
  • Increasing employment opportunities within the area, including along Yonge Street, Eglinton Avenue and other key streets and intersections served by existing and future transit stations.

Following the community consultation meeting, the feedback received and any potential amendments to the Yonge-Eglinton Secondary Plan will be presented at the continuation of the Special Public Meeting being held by the Planning and Growth Management Committee on July 5, 2018  at 11:30 a.m., or as soon as possible thereafter, in Committee Room 1, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.
