Beautiful Weather and Smiling Faces at Harvest Fair 2014

Thank you to everyone who came out to Mount Pleasant Village on September 27, 2014 for Harvest Fair, as well as to all of the merchants who participated and provided some great sales, promotions, giveaways, or education to our visitors. Most notably, we offer a special thanks to all of our sponsors and prize donors. There were so many highlights, we'll start with the competitions:

Apple Pie Eating Contest

It was an intense 5 minutes for 6 competitors who were devouring an apple pie each to be crowned the winner. Check out the appetizing video near the bottom of this page.

The contestants were pretty full, but none as much as the first place winner Mike Lee - who completed nearly 97% of his Apple Pie. Thank you again to The Flaky Tart at 711 Mount Pleasant for providing fresh and delicious apple pies.

As the first place winner, Gabrielle has won a beautiful pair of diamond earrings, generously donated by Saati Fine Jewellery at 512 Mount Pleasant Rd. Gabrielle has agreed to share her recipe for the Pumpkin Pie here.
