• Anjelica Scannura hosts tonight’s show. Anjelica is a 2025 Just For Laughs New Face of Stand-Up, and the first Canadian woman to win the Boston Comedy Festival. She recently also won the Jersey City Comedy Festival, and has performed on iconic stages including Massey Hall and The Wilbur. Her debut comedy EP with JFL Originals can be heard on SiriusXM.
• Cameron Phoenix is a Just For Laughs Stand-Up and Pitch finalist with a history of accolades from the Comedy Store and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He’s performed at the Edmonton Comedy Festival and Jersey City Comedy Festival. You can hear his debut album with Comedy Records “In The Pocket” on Sirius XM.
• Simon Rakoff has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs, Halifax Ha!, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival and many others. He is also a frequent voice on CBC’s The Debaters, Laugh Out Loud, Madly Off In All Directions, Definitely Not The Opera, and As It Happens.
• Hershawn Arora has a high-energy style that makes him a fan-favourite at all Toronto comedy clubs. Known for his cerebral crowd work, and vulnerable material Hershawn’s work has been featured on Just For Laughs, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Roast Battle™, CBC LOL!, Comedy Records™, and SiriusXM.

THE COMEDY OF MAGIC
Matt DiSero has worked with greats in comedy, magic and the writing communities. He has starred on  Penn and Teller’s Fool Us, and has headlined shows at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood California. We are thrilled to present this mega-talented entertainer at the MPV Comedy Festival!

• Zabrina Douglas is a nurse and a comedian. Her comedy album Things Black Girls Say: The Album received a Juno Award nomination for Comedy Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2023. This hilarious mom of 5 performs across the country at yukyuks comedy clubs, theatres, corporate and private events.
• Sammy Farid is an Egyptian-born comedian, actor, and father currently residing in Toronto, Canada. He has been performing stand-up comedy around the globe for nearly two decades, captivating audiences with his natural, introspective storytelling style. Sammy has performed at the Big Sound Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs Toronto, and can be heard on CBC’s Laugh Out Loud and seen on Netflix’s ‘The Office Movers’.
