We all know and love Mount Pleasant Village, and the Mount Pleasant Village BIA is proud to announce two new main street beautification initiatives that gives you more to love about your community!
When window shopping in Mount Pleasant Village, you may have noticed something new. Accompanying all the wonderful things on display at our local businesses is our first new initiative: a photo gallery!

Dr. Azzopardi of Uptown Chiropractic. To find out more about her and her business, check out the bio in the practice’s window!
Photo Gallery Project
This initiative has been funded by City of Toronto and Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
The Photo Gallery project spotlights our business owners in their very own windows! Each portrait is accompanied by a short biography of your local business owners. Get to know them and their unique backstories, which highlight hidden histories of your favourite shops and the people who have brought them to life.
Take a walk along Mount Pleasant and see if you can spot all of the photos. You may be surprised to find how many of these friendly faces you recognize from your shopping trips! There are 15 photos and bios to discover. This project will strengthen bonds between Mount Pleasant Village and your business owner neighbours!
This initiative has been funded by the City of Toronto’s Main Street Innovation Fund, as part of Government of Canada support through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
Main Street Window Wrap Project
While our Photo Gallery project is up and running, you’ll have to keep your eyes open for our Window Wrap project, which will be coming to Mount Pleasant Road very soon!
You may not recognize those empty storefronts along Mount Pleasant Road for much longer thanks to our Window Wrap initiative, which was also backed by FedDev Ontario through the City’s Main Street Recovery and Rebuild initiative. Empty windows will be transformed into canvases for gorgeous works of art, created by artist Raz Latif, to highlight the uniqueness of Mount Pleasant Village.
These window clings will beautify our Main Street, transforming vacant spaces into tiny art galleries! The vibrant windows will also draw attention to unleased storefronts along Mount Pleasant Road, attracting new and exciting businesses to our area.
Now you can take in some art on your next shopping trip to Mount Pleasant Village. There will be five unique window wraps in total, can you find them all?

Enjoy Your Main Street!
These two projects are just the latest additions in a long standing effort by the Mount Pleasant BIA to beautify our Main Street and attract both business owners and visitors alike. Other projects include 37 poles, 37 artists which was installed in 2021, or the gorgeous mural on the side of Davisville Park Animal Hospital!
There is so much to enjoy on Mount Pleasant Road so get out there and explore your neighbourhood! And keep your eyes peeled for our next Main Street project, which will be popping up at the corner of Mount Pleasant and Manor Road soon…
