Toronto Summer Dining Guide 2023
Nothing signals summer like the sound of clinking glasses from a patio on a warm evening.
Chatter coming from the table nearby, a setting sun, savoring a meal as you watch the world go by. There’s something so special about dining outside, especially for Canadians.
Here in Mount Pleasant Village, we’re fortunate to have some awesome restaurants with patios (and without) and we’re so happy you’ll get to experience them all this summer. So, work up that appetite, start making some reservations and we’ll see you out there!
The Summer Staples
Prosecco and pizza? Ribs and a beer? How about oysters on a charming hidden back patio? You can have them all here – at restaurants that have permanent patios, often full on summer nights. For your Italian fix, head to the very popular Piano Piano. For the best BBQ, Smokeshow BBQ and Brew has you covered. For a double patio, don’t miss Granite Brewery (tip – they also have the best brunch on Sundays)! And for the best people-watching and food from a bustling corner, The Belsize Public House is the place to go. Cheers to that.
Something Special
You might think you have to travel right downtown for upscale dining that’s truly memorable. Think again! Right here in Mount Pleasant Village we have some exquisite fine dining options, including Domaine MaMo, french cuisine with an Italian twist, Kappo Sato an exclusive and delicious sushi restaurant, and of course, Yukashi Japanese Cuisine which has 1 Michelin star and food that you won’t soon forget.
Summer Cool Down
It’s not summer until we’ve had something cold and refreshing. Don’t miss the gelato at XO Gelato, or the yummy bubble teas at ITS Tea. Well & Better Coffee has one of the best iced coffees around.
A Trip Around the World
From the delicious and fresh food at Bolan Thai Cuisine, to the aromatic food from Marigold Indian Bistro, to the unforgettable Italian dishes at Florentia, to the very famous schnitzel from Bread and Butter, you can eat your way around the globe right here in Mount Pleasant Village.
Satisfy your Sweet Tooth
If you’re going to treat yourself, summer is the time to do it. We are SPOILED here with sweet delicacies. Thobors has some of the finest baking in the city. Just a few doors down, Jules Cafe Patisserie has incredible croissants and chocolate twists. At Origin Coffee is always serving yummy sweets and Foxies Bakeshop has epic stuffed cookies! Sweetcultura has… you guessed it… a huge selection of sweets and treats! Drooling yet?!
